Board President Michele Whetzel is the President of Revise, LLC, an editing business with a focus on resume renewal. Her clients vary from college students to executives changing careers or needing an updated bio. She also works on nonprofit consulting projects with The Detwiler Group. In 2016 Michele was appointed by then-Governor Jack Markell to serve a seven-year term as a member of the State of Delaware Public Integrity Commission, and her peers appointed her Vice Chair of Administration of the Commission. Early in her career she was an account manager at Brandywine Investors/Cypress Capital Management and a Trust Officer at American Guarantee & Trust Company. She has a BS in Finance with a minor in Economics from the University of Delaware and attended Newark High School.
For over 25 years Michele has also been an active volunteer in Delaware’s nonprofit sector, serving on the Fund for Women board for ten years from 2008-2018. She served as the Chair from 2014-2016 after serving as Treasurer, Grants Chair, Post Grant Chair, and Vice Chair. Through her tenure on the board Michele helped the organization develop and adopt nonprofit best practice standards, a 3-year strategic plan, revised vision and mission statements, and updated marketing materials.
Over the years Michele has also been a board member of the Delaware Community Foundation, Treasurer of The Ministry of Caring Guild, and a member of the New Castle County Adopt-a-Family Board. She currently serves on the ERANow Steering Committee and is a member of the Forum of Executive Women and the Metro DC ARCS (Achievement Rewards for College Scientists) Foundation. Michele previously served as the Governance Chair of Fresh Start, is the Vice President of the Aster Wellness Foundation (an organization she helped found in 2018) and is a board member of SL24: Unlocke the Light.
