Donna spent her career in advertising, working for top Philadelphia agencies before founding Burgess Communications in 1989, which she  ran for thirty years. Her experience as a female business owner and in the advertising industry, as a Chief Marketing Officer, and in many volunteer roles, lends itself to strong strategic vision for brands and organizations.

Donna’s global client base included Achieve Global (formerly Zenger Miller and Times Mirror Training), Aramark School Support Services, Campbell’s Soup, Delaware Hospice, Direct TV, Mitsubishi Chemical, Scott Paper,  Softmart, ReMed, Rhône Poulenc, Pepsi, Pizza Hut, and XipLink, among  others. She led marketing efforts for many successful product launches around the world, including Septocaine, the world’s leading dental anesthetic.

Now retired from advertising, Donna enjoys giving back to the community,  mentoring, and artistic endeavors. She currently serves on the Sun East Federal Credit Union Board. She served as a board member of The Forum of Executive Women (Delaware), Art-Reach, a trustee of Tyler Arboretum,  as an officer of the Delaware County Red Cross, as President of the Philadelphia Advertising Hall of Fame, and is a past President of the Art Directors’ Club of Philadelphia.
